How did you get into the business (Business, International Trade, ABCS etc)?

China is now Australia's largest two-way trading partner in goods and services, and largest goods export destination as well. The ChAFTA further enhanced the growing trade and investment relationship. As a Chinese working in Australia, with good understanding of both Australia and China’s market and business environment, I have passion to be part of ABCS to help bridge connection between Australia quality products suppliers and China qualified buyers, to assist local enterprises get rid of the barriers, enter into China and achieve a long term offshore success. Luckily I found an opportunity to fulfill my passion so I am here now.

Favourite flavour of ice cream?

Good question, Yogurt flavour is my favourite.

1 interesting fact about yourself (get creative).

One of my biggest dreams when I was a kid was to learn Kung Fu in Shaolin Temple. My parent told me I had to shave my hair if I was to undergo training in the temple. So I had to give up!

Worst advice you were ever given about your area of expertise?

Trust yourself to make decisions instead of always seeking advice as no one else knows the real you but yourself. Sometimes it’s true that we don’t know how to make a good choice or don’t know what we shall do. Every advice is valuable and in most cases we can develop better solutions than we had on our own. But you are the final decision maker and you should be responsible for it.

Biggest achievement to date?

Actually, I think my biggest achievement is yet to come. My mission is to better myself - as a mother, as a wife and as an Account Manager.

If you could do anything you wanted right now, what would it be?

Flying back to my hometown and spending more time at home with my parents.

What do you love most about your job?

I love my job because it’s really meaningful by providing our professional services to build connection between Australia and China business, and I am able to contribute my experience and skills too. I enjoy the challenge, enjoy the responsibility and enjoy our collaborative team environment as well.  Also, this job offers me a great opportunity to be a constant learner with working in a changing environment.

If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to and why?

I would like travel back to the earliest era, to check out which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Best advertisement you ever saw in relation to brands promoting themselves overseas.

Really have no idea on this.

Puppies or kittens?

Both.

How would your friends describe you?

The best way is to directly ask them. But I think my best friend would describe me as warm, reliable, responsible and organised.
