I am delighted to welcome you to the latest edition of our newsletter by sharing another client success story with you. We worked with Star Combo to assist them in a number of key areas, from arranging opportunities to showcase their products, to matching them with relevant businesses, to endorsing them through our networks in order to build credibility. With the channels built in China, the business has gone from strength to strength, and is due to list on the ASX shortly. We wish them every success.

I would also like to share some information and insights on a new round of import duty reduction by Chinese government, emerging hostile trademark registration in China and business opportunities for Australian businesses during Chinese New Year.
 
We have recently come across multiple cases of our members and clients trademarks were filed in bad-faith in China, and we are currently working with them to opposite the filing.  It is a lengthy and costly process. As China works on a first-file-first-get trademark registration system, I would encourage Australian businesses to consider regietering your trademark in China as soon as possible. Please talk to my team on the process and pitfalls.
 
 
Last but not least, a kind reminder to Export Growth China program participants.
