Byron Bay Cookies join Export Growth China

July 20 2015

From humble beginnings baking cookies in an old farmhouse stove in the hills of Byron Bay, New South Wales’ iconic Byron Bay Cookies has been exporting its award-winning cookies around the world for over a decade.

“Byron Bay Cookie Company is celebrating 25 years this year which is an exciting time as we continue our expansion nationally and overseas,” said Byron Bay Cookies Chief Operations Officer, Keith Byrne.

“Although we have been exporting our products for many years, China remains an untouched market and a key component of our export growth strategy,’ said Mr Byrne.

After being purchased by Rinoldi in 2013, Byron Bay Cookies has undergone significant operational changes with new emphasis on brand and product expansion, whilst remaining true to the company’s local Australian flavour.

“Under the new ownership and leadership, Byron Bay Cookies has gone from strength to strength, expanding its national distribution network and gaining new ground on the international scene,” said Mr Byrne.

“Joining Export Growth China has given us the opportunity to put our brand in front of key decision makers, whilst benefiting from the expertise of the Export Growth China team. We look forward to continue working with them as part of our export strategy,” Mr Byrne said.
